2025-2026 Garden Warrior Archers Inspire Future Kids to Join Program!

CENTRAL FLORIDA—BY: WEBER WAY TO WELLNESS REPORTER

The Garden Warrior Archery Program is underway for their 2026-2027 season, but first we will have a look back at the 2025-2026 season to get inspired!

Alicia Weber is a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor, fitness innovator with the “Weber Way to Wellness”, and a multi-sport coach of 29 years working with grassroots to Olympic level. Her archery fitness sports league is going on 14 years strong and this past season at least 30 athletes ages 5-16 competed in barebow category archery (without sighting devices), excelled in over 10 fitness obstacles, set records in 10 strength tests, set loads of new bests in speed and agility challenges, achieved fastest run times in a half dozen events, learned and became educated in over 50 Florida plant and animal species, achieved baseline fitness and conditioned to earn new benchmarks in over 20 proper form exercises, and embraced goal setting and good sportsmanship in their 10 events they competed in. ALL of the above were achieved in just 26 sessions of 45 minutes OR JUST UNDER 20 HOURS!!!

Alicia personalizes her training and guides each athlete to their best performances in fitness and archery. She also helps students develop a strong mental attitude with positive thinking as she is also an Elite Mindset Coach and Motivational Speaker.

Below is a look back with select highlights from the 2025-2026 Garden Warrior Archery Season where a total of 10 competitions took place within the 20 hours (these are virtual events at each location’s training grounds). Five Teams competed this year from Orlando and Lake County, Florida to go after the 2025 Fall Championship Team Title and Spring 2026 Championship Team Title.

CHASING MVP STATUS
Archer-Athletes have the ability to compete for most archery points in the 10 scored events and the male and female with highest score at their training location will earn the MVP Award. This past season An All-Time Record was set for Most Archery Points Ever within 10 competitions with 361 points!!

The Thrill of Working with Your Team In Multiple Skills and Events
Each team has athletes with different abilities- some might be more archery-inclined, while others excel in more types of fitness events, but everyone must give it their best to contribute to their team score. As Alicia coaches everyone, it normally comes down to just a few points that separate the top teams. The kids learn that it comes down to determination in a lot of events. Age is just a number. Our youngest team with 5-year-olds beat out the teams with the oldest competitors (14 -16-year-olds) in fall 2025 (just an example of age just a number). The Jr. Rubies (youngest team) placed 2nd out of 5 Teams in Fall 2025. Then, in Spring 2026 the older team at the Orlando location (Red Rubies ages 9-13) won the Team Championship and it came down to just one point in archery to push out some other top teams (Shown above in video)!

Gender is also irrelevant in this program. In archery it comes down to who can be the most focused. This is truly a sport that carries over to improving academics and classroom performance. Archery attracts kids who were failing and now they are back on track and on Honor Roll just as kids who were already exceptional students – they are now skipping grades and at top of class! Some Fitness Events are dominated by females (especially events with multi-tasking), while boys dominate other fitness events.

Above is Video of one of our multi-tasking fitness challenges where the female has the overall record of 11.4 seconds and two boys tie for next best behind her in 11.9 seconds.

WATCH SOLOMON DO OUR HARDEST ARCHERY CHALLENGE WITH PERFECT AIM!
Solomon is a prime example of someone who is determined and focused and he became the only student male or female this past season to complete one of the Toughest Challenges in archery that we have on an assigned target at 7 yards and no practice is allowed. They only get 4 shots and that is it.

SOLOMOM FROM TEAM WARRIORS (WINNING FALL TEAM) AND LUCA FROM TEAM RED RUBIES (WINNING SPRING TEAM) SHARE THE STRICT FORM PULL-UP LEAGUE RECORD (3 REPS)

Solomon was on the winning team in fall 2025. Then, his team placed 3rd in Spring 2026, while the Red Rubies won in Spring 2026. The Red Rubies had been defeated for a couple of years. They lost their MVP from 2024-2025, so they all had to step up their game. They were able to keep their positive attitude and finally achieve their long-awaiting team victory after a disappointing 3rd place team finish in the fall. Achieving fitness all-time records are 60 point bonus for teams, so both of their teams earned 60 points for sharing this pull-up record.

Kids can attempt to Achieve Fitness Benchmarks for 30 points for their Team!
Only 4 students achieved this tough fitness benchmark this season where only 2 reps were required of this “Commando Grip Flexed Hang Twister” testing strength and mobility as the knees have to touch the elbow for it to count.

7-YEAR-OLD STUDENT INVENTS NEW EXERCISE!
Kids get a leadership role in this program and can use their creativity like this 7-year-old to create new exercises or activities. They are also strong in safety rules and became referees in the events.

KIDS CAN GET THE PROGRAM PERSONALIZED TO THEM.
This past season all the kids begged for more fitness obstacles and agility challenges, so Alicia tailored her spring to their request. Above are some of the best performers ever at certain agility challenges.

KIDS DO SPORT SPECIFIC TRAINING THAT TRANSFERS OVER TO BETTER ARCHERY.
The agility obstacles ranged from 32 feet to 103 feet in length. Brendon (age 14 and above) was the second oldest student in the league this season and he set an 80-yard suicide run record with 2 perfect throws of the yard darts in their targets at 6 and 12 feet away (fastest runner and only person to get perfect score).

KIDS CAN TRY AND BEAT THEIR COACH IN ARCHERY AND SOME EVENTS FOR BONUS POINTS.
We did a wide range of sprinting challenges in the spring program per the request of the majority of students. Above is playlist of some of the sprinting events and the top performers and how the kids did compared to their coach. Cody who is mainly an elite hockey player joined the Warriors in Black team in the spring to help with sport specific training and strength gains for hockey. It really helped him as he was picked up by an elite hockey team in Lakeland and he also started getting offers to join Elite Junior Teams.

KIDS JOIN THE ARCHERY TO HELP WITH THEIR OTHER SPORTS.
Cody met his goals by joining Alicia’s archery program to improve his hockey. He joined program unable to do one chin-up and just a month after starting the training he did 7 strict form Chin-Ups to set the All-Time League record!!

Luca (age 10) becomes first person ever in the league to do a strict form “Truly Strict Leg Twisted Pull-up” on 5/4/26.

Solomon then came back and beat the new league record on 5/14/26 by doing 2 reps of the “Truly Strict Form Leg Twisted Pull-Up”.

COACH ALICIA WILL FOLLOW THE MOTIVATION OF THE GROUP AND CREATE A CURRICULM AROUND IT.
Solomon was highly motivated and pushed himself and competitors to try and go after fitness challenges in spring 2026. Solomon becomes first student (age 10 or Under) to do a proper form bar dip.

Speaking of exercises, this season set the most ever new marks or All Time League Records in Strength Tests that help develop strong archery.

When Alicia asked Solomon, Brendon, and Luca, “Why do they think so many records are falling with this group?” They all replied with same answer, “We love setting goals and seeing what we are capable of achieving.”

The kids understand the conditioning process and so these results you see in the list below are from first setting a reachable benchmark like 5-10 seconds for a dead hang. Then, we keep setting a new goal as benchmarks are achieved. They are also given training tips on what they can be doing outside of class to improve, so over the course of the year, they keep improving.

Alicia began 2020 by re-setting a Recordsetter world record she held for 3 years, but she made it even tougher… It is the consecutive staircase pull-up record with 15 steps per rep. She first set record on 1/20/2017 with 10 reps… Now, see the new benchmark.

2019 RECAP: The Red Rubies won their 6th Team Title in the Archery Fitness League out of 10 Championships. For the first time, a Groveland boy (From Growling Tigers Team) won the individual Championship title and led his team to their best team finish of second place out of 5 teams. Returning multi-champion, Raven, of Team Anime utilized Qigong to take a big lead and win after holding a 3-way tie with two other girls. The anticipation for the Spring 2020 Self Defense Archery season is very high after everyone aced the self defense and greatly improved their archery in the fall.

Alicia “World Record” Weber excelled in her sports. She added her 18th individual sport in 2019 and competed in her 8th World Championship in the 2019 World SkiErg Sprints (1,000 meter). She only trained for 6 weeks and had weekly massage to help recover and perform her best in minimal amount of time to learn a new skill. She met her time goal for her first ever 1k race and placed 167th in the world out of 748 women!!

Alicia weighing in at only 112 pounds competed in the skiErg where extra weight adding momentum can be a competitive advantage. Alicia focused on using proper form engaging her core and triceps properly and came through the 1,000 meters in 4:25.9 to place 167th out of 748 women in the world.

Alicia moved on to setting more challenging records this year. She was not setting records at the pace she was previously accustomed to (one record every 42 hours). LOL She slowed down her pace to focus on developing more challenging workout record categories termed “World Record Weber Record Breaking Workouts”… In these workouts she may need to break a current record and then add more new records within the workout. Her goal was to set one a month. She ended year with 14 new record breaking workout records. You can follow these workouts at the link below.

Members of Alicia’s Archery Fitness League can partake in many special opportunities throughout the year such as developing Improv Comedy, competing in different sports outside archery, working on their Art skills, attending group sporting events, and learning many other skill sets. Coach Alicia Weber Starred at the Europa Games (one of the largest fitness expos in the World where she set the Pull-Up record and moments later took a Top Time in an Obstacle Race on April 13, 2019) as her league took on the Central Florida Self Defense Archery Championship in April 2019.

Spring has sprung with a bundle of physical and mental tests, shooting stars, and Superstars of Self Defense Archery in the ninth Championship for Central Florida. Coach Alicia Weber began her Spring Campaign with her own series of record-breaking workouts (shown below) and feats of strength at the Europa Games Fitness Show.

Alicia juggled her own events in April as she had her league consisting of six teams throughout Central Florida compete in a 3 event Series Championship in Self Defense Archery (a highly skilled sport, which tests mental and physical readiness).

The three events become more taxing on the mind and body as they progress through the one month long championship series. All the archer-athletes are in the dark on what will be next to come, but with their grit-determination and focus, they all achieve phenomenal follow-through. This training helps them become Top Students, all around athletes, and good people (building sportsmanship, confidence, and self-esteem).

This season there were 6 teams throughout Central Florida (three were Varsity Teams and three were Junior Varsity Teams). Clermont’s Team Anime won their THIRD Team Championship title with 1,085 points to defeat their biggest rival (Team Red Rubies) by 29 points. Team Red Rubies placed second with 1,056 points. The new Groveland team (Team Curry Wolf) placed third with 698x points.

1. Nathan of Team Anime 348 points
2. Henry of Team Red Rubies 333 points

4. (First Girl) Raven of Team Anime 285 points
5. (Second Girl) Ashley of Team Anime 228 points
6. (Third Girl) Kalena of Team Anime 224 points

Nathan became the First Male to win two consecutive Series Championship Titles. He won in fall 2018. This is his third championship title. Raven won her third championship title. She is the most prolific Top female competitor in the league.

1. Brandon of Varsity Team Curry Wolf led his team with 220 points placing 6th overall out of boys and girls. He achieved the fastest male in the league title for a Self Defense Balance Drill in Event 3 (giving his team 10 bonus points).
2. Drew (on Varsity Team Curry Wolf) was the only athlete in the league to achieve a Bullseye(x) on a small target in Event 3 at 12 yards.
3. Ashley of Team Anime was the fastest competitor in the entire league to complete a self defense balance obstacle course in Event 1.

Archery Fitness History is Made in the Eighth Championship

Top Archer Athletes from the 2018 Self Defense Archery Fall Series Championship

Is it possible to have six teams competing over the course of several months and have a dead heat tie between two teams? Is it possible for a youth boy to perform a Robin Hood Feat in a Series Championship? Is it possible for a girl to come out of nowhere and win against veteran female archers plus have the third highest score among all competitors?

ABSOLUTELY, anything is possible in Alicia Weber’s Archery, Fitness, Sport League where students are trained to be positive thinkers too!

It all came down to the third and final event (the toughest event with 4 squares to hit clockwise followed by a hard to hit small bullseye worth 20 points). Coed Team Anime nailed it with a full 33 point lead on the second place Team Red Rubies. Their TOP Archer, Nathan, had a near perfect score in the archery with 60x points out of a possible 70 points.

Nathan easily secured first place overall with 163x points, but the All boys team known as Red Rubies were not ready to say “goodbye” to their chance at winning a fifth Team title. They pulled together in great camaraderie, grit, and determination and shot each arrow like it was their last chance to shoot. They worked so hard and garnered so many points that they were able to tie with Team Anime for a final score of 656x points. This is the first time in archery fitness history that 2 teams tied at such a long and drawn out 3-Part Series Championship!!

Two rookie teams kept building tremendous focus and momentum in Events #2 and #3 to bring their teams to the TOP. Team Curry Wolf placed second with 583 points. Their team was led by a bow hunter turned phenom archer, Amber, who scored 137 points. She was the first place girl and she had the third best score out of everyone. Team Couriers placed third with 571 points. Their team was led by Brandon who placed third for boys with 137 points.

The Junior Rubies consisted of the Leagues youngest competitor (a six year old girl). There is also a 7 year old. Some of these motivated competitors also take a Leadership course. They work on multiple skills, while they also compete in this championship. They finished 4th place with 522 points.

In fifth place was a new team known as Fit N Fighting Fortiter with a determined 7 year old girl and other young boys and girls. The 2018 Spring Series 2nd Place Champ, Anecya, led the team on the girl’s side, while new league boys (Andrew, Sean, Benny, and Payten) got their feet wet in the new sport. The team scored 307 points.

Focus Results in Victory in 2018 Self Defense Archery Championships

CENTRAL FLORIDA—Six teams compete for the highly revered title of “Self Defense Archery Team Champion” as Individual Competitors strive to finish in the Top Three. The youth have different reasons to strive and dedicate themselves to such a unique, complex mind-body sport.

One boy is working on being selected into the League Hall of Fame one day. Other new archer-athletes are trying to be their best and soak up the new challenge. While still others enjoy making new friends, setting goals, breaking league records, growing their self-esteem and confidence, and improving their mental and physical condition.

Coach Weber captured her 126 overall victory in Clermont Clay Trail 5k on 10/28/18.
There are many reasons to try so hard to do so well. The youth have endless opportunities and rewards for their hard work and dedication and Coach Alicia Weber is full of surprises. Her athletes surprise her too!

Amanda is a new female archer-athlete with no competitive background until joining this league. She did wonders in the Series 1 Championship for her Clermont team. Amanda represents Team Anime. She was told she would need to score 34 points minimum in order to lead her team to victory and defeat the extraordinarily regarded Red Rubies. The pressure was on. Coach Weber gave her a pep talk and assured her that her focus would lead her to a phenomenal result. Amanda took the approach to just “Relax and Win.”

The Red Rubies (a team of all boys) have garnered 4 team victories (more than any other team in history). Amanda is on a coed team and she was the last competitor to compete for score on her team.

Amanda breezed through the self defense portion of the event garnering 11 out of 13 possible points. Then, she did something astonishing and shot 2 bullseyes off the bat and kept going to finish with a total 51 points, which propelled Team Anime into First Place with 18.5 point lead over the Red Rubies.

Team Anime Wins Series 1 of the 3 part Championship.

Amanda also tied in third place for girls with her teammate Ashley. The 2017-2018 Series Champ, Raven, on Team Anime placed second with 52 points. Amber on Team Curry Wolf, an amazing new archer full of surprises, earned 53 points for first place.

The Top Team Scores are in… Team Anime WINS with 261.5 points. Second Place team is The Red Rubies with 243 points. The third place team is Team Curry Wolf with 221 points. The fourth place team is Junior Rubies with 206 points. Fifth place team is Couriers with 202 points. Sixth place team is Fit N Fighting Fortiter with 171.50 points.

The individual male competition was finalized after Thanksgiving as Newbie Sean from Team Fit N Fighting Fortiter was the trooper to fight the coldest conditions to perform a Top score (36.5 points) for his team.

Below Coach Alicia Weber demonstrates record breaking physical fitness leading up to her League Series 1 Championship.

Alicia performed “Super Woman Witch Self Defense Training Gone South” a Mind-Body Self Defense Challenge. Workout: Hold 2 bows out (weighing approx 5 lbs each) and balance on one foot. The other foot must then do a high side kick at a punching bag for at least 200 consecutive reps (repeat on other side of body). Then, recite Halloween poem from memory in a wall sit.
