Melbourne, FL (2/4/12) — Alicia Weber captured the silver medal in the 500m Light Weight Women’s Open Indoor Rowing Championship Race. Â This is her 69th career medal placed around her neck. Â Alicia blazed past her former best time by 1.3 seconds to fly to a second place at this Southeast Championship and World Qualifier Championship race for indoor rowing!

Just 23 days before this Indoor Rowing Championship, Alicia garnered her first strength and endurance world record of 2012 and she did it in creative fashion! Â Alicia set a Record Setter world record with the most consecutive perfect pushups in 1hr followed by Plank Poetry…Alicia’s Results: Â 802 consecutive perfect pushups followed with holding a plank and reciting the 15 line poem “The Kraken” perfectly from memory.
Alicia says, “This challenge tests not only physical strength and stamina, but also brain power. This is one of my favorite records that I have set and the first one that combines physical and mental stamina.”
