6 World Records Broken in 32 days of New Year 2026

WEBER WELLNESS REPORTER—2/10/26 Alicia Weber was back to breaking records this new year. She had to get creative with training as she caught the flu at the beginning of the new year and it took 14 days till she was back to normal. She decided to stay indoors and re-visit some old records from Recordsetter World Records. She dedicated herself to training to break 6 world records in the category that she created nearly 10 years ago known as “Gliding Disc Arm Walk”. She easily improved on all her shorter distance events from 1 minute to 5 minutes. It then took extra training to break her 10 minute world record, which is harder than swimming. Below is a video demonstrating some of her speed and strength training from February. The Gliding Disc Arm Walk events take place only on carpet measuring out 5 yards out and 5 yards back (10 yards per lap). The feet just rest on gliding discs and are not used. All the work comes from the core and arms. It is a fun record category to train in at the comforts of home.

Weber saved her hardest record to set last in this series due to the extra time required for conditioning. She exceeded the previous 10-minute world record by 85 years.
