By: Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Click here to visit JD Productions.

CLERMONT, FL–June 18, 2011, Alicia Weber receives exciting news from the officials at The Book of Alternative Records (the world’s 2nd largest record book).  She officially set 6 more world records from April -May 2011, which brings her world record count to 50 world records!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1799l5iu9Q

Here are her 6 new world records set April – May 2011:

Rope Climbing —On April 1, 2011, Alicia recorded the fastest climb ever by a female up a 15ft rope (starting from a sitting position, using hands only for climbing). Then, on April 9, 2011, Alicia Weber set 3 world records within 1 hour (2:30-3:30pm) in Clermont, Florida, a city known for health and wellness.  All rope climbs were completed using hands only for climbing.  Legs just dangle.  She recorded the greatest height climbed on a 5 meter rope in 1 minute when she climbed 15 meters.  Following this world record, she recorded the fastest climb up a 5 meter rope and she climbed the fastest up a 20ft rope.

1 Leg Hopping—On April 10, 2011, Weber recorded the fastest time in the alternative track event called 1 leg hopping, 100 meter dash, where she hopped on one foot (the same foot for the full 100m) in a record time of 23.7 seconds.

Pushups on 3 Medicine Balls—On May 7, 2011, Weber re-set her world record that she first set a year ago.  She completed 38 pushups in 1 minute, while balancing on 3 medicine balls (diameter:  22cm).

I ask Alicia Weber how it feels to reach 50 world records in strength, speed, and endurance, and she says, “It is an exciting benchmark to meet.  I am very happy! I keep going though.”

Are you looking for a martial arts conditioning instructor in Central Florida? If so, you are at the Right Place. Or are you looking for some martial arts conditioning tips? If so, you are in luck.

Alicia Weber Fitness Trainer and Martial Arts Conditioning Specialist shows cool conditioning moves.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTbMmRmJbzY

No matter if you are a fencer, kickboxer, kata competitor, wrestler, boxer, or any other type of martial arts competitor – one thing is shared by all and that is SPARRING!! At some point in the training phase, sparring and sparring drills will come into play to keep one’s game on PAR.

Any fighter knows aerobics and strength are key, but other components need to be developed as well. Today we will briefly touch up on the 4 Key Components of Martial Arts Conditioning. It is really important to work all 4 components in each serious martial arts conditioning session. Those components should be followed in this order:
1.) Speed/Quickness/Reactive Ability – the most sensitive with fatigue accumulation and that’s why it should be first.
2.) Strength – after the former, the muscles are triggered for strength moves
3.) Endurance – at this time the workout becomes challenging and it trains the muscles to endure, which will be imperative for fights
4.) Flexibility – best improved when the body is warm (static stretching can tend to temporarily weaken muscles due to reduced overlap in muscle sarcomere – even more reason to end with flexibility)

So have you been covering the 4 components in your training sessions?

Do you need some martial arts conditioning in Central Florida? If so, you can contact Alicia at Awinningway@gmail.com and put “fitness” in subject line.

Alicia Weber Wishes Holiday Cheer & Says Goodbye to 2010 with Extreme Endurance Strength Feat!

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Click here to visit JD Productions.

November 2, 2010–Alicia Weber’s tricep muscles were excited and drooling over a final challenge!  She decided to test herself at the toughest type of 2-arm and 2-leg pushups for endurance – 30 -minutes of Tricep Pushups.  She already holds world records in a variety of regular 2-arm pushups and one-arm pushups categories.  However, tricep pushups are not a record cateogry, and she is just doing these tricep pushups for fun in the vieo below!  In 2010, Alicia ends her year with a record 24 world records in strength, speed, and endurance verified by the Book of Alternative Records and featured in World Record Holder’s Republic the registry for Human Achievement World Record Holders.

Tricep Pushup Hand Pushup
Tricep Pushup Hand Position

The tricep pushups for endurance isolate the 3 tricep muscles (medial head, lateral head, and long head of the tricep m.).  Maxing out and going for 30-minutes is VERY challenging on the triceps AND the ABS as they stabilize the core and keep a straight body position.  Rules:  Tricep Pushups must be performed on a hard surface, arms start in full extension, and end bent with chest touching floor as hands are held in a triangle position (as shown here).  Legs stay straight with no lifting of the hips.  Rest breaks are allowed.

Watch Alicia “World Record” Weber do 556 tricep pushups in 30-minutes.  Enjoy!

Muscle Girl Flexes it & Works it in Bootcamp with Posing Session!

By:  Aussie Amanda – a copyrighted character of Alicia Weber Click here to visit JD Productions.

I am a Strength Feat Specialist that loves extreme exercises.  Although I love moving and grooving and huffing and puffing in muscular strength and aerobics best, I PAUSE today… By requests of many fans, I slowed down my pace under the spotlghts to do some slow and close up flexing and posing!  It is my first serious flexing and posing session. The flexing and posing session lasts over 5 minutes.  BUT, before I go into flexing and posing, I completed a strenuous bootcamp workout with the marines.  I was put to the test in many physical fitness challenges all with a 30lbs back pack on my back.  One of my challenges was a 1/2 mile mountain sprint race with the 30lbs back pack on my back!  You’ll have to find out the winner here.

For now, I will show highlights from my first ever serious posing and flexing session below.  *However, if you are interested in watching my FULL bootcamp workout with my posing session (appox. 11 minutes) go to www.VideoTeasing.com/amanda.htm

Alicia Weber “The Machine” – World Records

By:  Alicia Weber Click here to visit JD Productions.
The images below are Copyrighted to Alicia Weber at AliciaWeber.com

I was first nicknamed “The Machine” in high school when I would run and win cross country races and track and field races from sprint to long distances. I became a 2 x All-American in the 10,000 meters, while in high school at Junior Nationals and I medaled at National Championships in events from 1,500m -10,000 meter runs and 5k cross country.  The nickname of “The Machine” continues as I have over 400 world records in strength, speed, and endurance, and I am a professional fitness trainer.

I graduated from University of Florida where I was a letter winner in Track and Cross Country. I have B.S. degrees in Biology and Communication.  I was then in a Doctorate of Physical Therapy program to expand my specialty of aquatic therapy.  My clients also refer to me as “The Machine” as I train with each and every one of them to motivate them.  When I am not training people, I am training myself in world record setting or training for the 17 sports I compete in on an elite level.  I am really W-I-L-D  about exercise and physical fitness!!!

I must warn you though – I do have an alter ego and I get the urges at times to get off the athletic field and get ON STAGE!  I have been an entertainer for a variety of acts for years!   I am most known for my “One Woman Shows” where I combine “character comedy” with strength feats! I perform Live and I have a line of shows here.  Here’s a preview of my 7 character comedy show.

My creative energies carry over into other areas as well.  I am an author, illustrator, and poet.  I published my first book on marine biology and my second book on physical fitness is found here. You can learn more about me as the athlete here and as the fitness professional here.

Now, let’s crank the engine and see what a human performance machine can do…Below are my world records in over 27 categories of exercises (the exercise world records are listed alphabetically). I keep re-setting my own records and I garner new ones.

* NOTE:  Starting in 2012, I am setting world records exclusively with RecordSetter.com, the world’s fastest growing world record book where I also compete with men for overall world records.  I set over 50 world records for women with The Book of Alternative Records from 2008 -2011 – those records are listed below.  CLICK HERE for Alicia’s RecordSetter World Records.

VERY IMPORTANT: Below are my 60+ entries in the Book of Alternative Records from 2008-2011.  I will continue these categories now at RecordSetter, so to stay up with the latest records visit me at www.recordsetter.com/user/aliciaweber

Female Strength Feats and Comedy Shows with Strength and Endurance World Record Holder – Alicia Weber

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Click here to visit JD Productions.

Alicia celebrates her 7 characters that she role played through the years with her 22-minute “7 Character Comedy Show” found exclusively at aliciaweber.com/shows.

Here is a preview of the 7 Character Comedy Show

Alicia’s personality and performances have been described in many words and viewers of her Live shows described her shows as something that would be talked about for days to come.

Alicia’s 7 Character Comedy Show is a collage of acts as she performs 7 different roles (male, female, and animal roles).  She takes the most hilarious moments of her “character comedy career” while at the University of Florida where she performed for athletic teams and Collegiate Triathlon National Championships and turns it into a 22-minute comedy strength feat show called “Alicia’s 7 Character Comedy Show” found here.

Here are testimonies from those that watched her perform as the 7 characters:

“It’s a one woman variety show all performed by Alicia Weber.  She plays all 7 roles and has different voices and strength feats for each character.  It’s hard to imagine coming up with the idea of doing these things, let alone doing them!  I like all the characters the same – they are all very exciting to watch!”  -Strength Fan and Avid Hiker of Las Vegas Hiking and Outdoors Meetup Group

“Seeing Alicia perform Live as her characters during Collegiate National Triathlon Championships and at Trigator functions was a highlight during my college years as a Trigator!  Alicia is wild and funny and creates a rumpus!  I love Catalina, the coaches wife best along with Coach Johnny Deltoid.” -University of Florida Alumni and Trigator

“Alicia is one in a million and her strength feat 7 character comedy show demonstrates how unique she can be.  I have watched Alicia perform many times and she keeps me in stitches and in awe with her creativity.  Her performances are heartfelt and hilarious and she can inspire, educate, motivate, and entertain –“Alicia’s 7 Character Comedy Show” is a MUST SEE!

Alicia Weber’s 45 Minutes of Maximum Strength World Records!

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Click here to visit JD Productions.

CLERMONT, FL—On May 27, 2010, Alicia Weber pushed her limits to maximum strength within 45-minutes and the results – MORE WORLD RECORDS!

Inspired by the Legendary Jesse Owens greatest achievement in track and field where he set 3 world records and tied a 4th within 45 minutes on May 25, 1935 at the Big 10 Championship, Alicia Weber (former champion track and field runner and current Strength Athlete) wanted to see how many maximum strength world records she could garner within 45-minutes.

Go to AliciaWeber.com/shows
Now Playing "World Record Weber - 45 Minutes of Maximum Strength World Records" found exclusively at videoteasing.com and aliciaweber.com/shows

Alicia picked 6 maximum strength exercises that increase in the level of difficulty through adding components of coordination/balance and both large and small muscle groups as the rest time decreased.  She had 9 minutes of rest after her first exercise and less than 2 minutes of rest before her last exercise.

She began and ended with exercises based on speed and strength. Her 1st exercise with 37 pull-ups in 1 minute is the official new world record and her last exercise of 18 ring dips in one minute is the official new world record Both published world records and she is now in a new World Record Book: Believe the Unbelievable: the Ultimate Book of World Records and the People who Pursue Them

Alicia’s 2nd -5th exercises were meant to wear her out a little and make the last minute of ring dips challenging.  Alicia says, “I did a set of 35 consective pull-ups then 30 consecutive chin-ups followed by 11 handstand pushups in a minute (where head comes to floor each rep) and finally the hardest type of dip – ring L position dips.  Consecutive exercises are very taxing on the muscles and then the handstand pushups and ring L dips are the most challenging of all these exercises with their elements of balance and use of large and small muscle groups.”

The final results:  5 world records in 45-minutes.  However, the consecutive pullups/chinups and handstand pushups will not be published because those categories are not open. The international governing body needs to restrict categories and the rules are very strict.  Alicia’s Ring L position Dips were declined a world record, since not all the reps were perfect.

Required for this record, Alicia had a surveillance camera following her and 4 other cameras getting different views of the exercises performed.  The 45 minute surveillance video is now turned into a show for purchase called “World Record Weber – 45 Minutes of Maximum Strength World Records” found exclusively at Videoteasing.com and AliciaWeber.com

Alicia Weber is a 30+ x Official World Record Holder in Strength and Endurance.

All-Around Athlete, Alicia Weber Sets 11 Physical Fitness World Records and 2 Rare Strength Feats in 33 days!

 By:  Alicia Weber

Click here to visit JD Productions.

Whenever I wasn’t exercising as a kid, I would kick back with a book on world record setting athletes and I would get enraptured.  I knew very early on I would be a world record setting athlete.  My doctor grandfather met many of the great athletes I read about and he shared stories with me.  He was a gastroenterologist  that wrote for the American Medical Association and he also knew that I would be a world record holder one day.  He had me be strict with my eating and exercise as he prepared me for a life of discipline and dedication to my passion —sports.

I was inspired most to read about the athletes of the 1920’s – 1960’s that overcame so much to set records and achieve extraordinary athletic achievements. The athletes of those days had to overcome war times, family and personal strife, and the Great Depression.  Today, I am now a world record setting athlete in many record books including…

Believe the Unbelievable: the Ultimate Book of World Records and the People who Pursue Them

I hold over 25 world records in strength, speed, and endurance.  From February 6, 2010 – March 9, 2010, I set 11 world records and 2 rare strength feats covering all 5 areas of physical fitness.

Muscular Strength and Endurance:  I started my world record rampage by re-setting my former 1 hour pullup world record by more than 150 reps for 721 reps an hour(enroute to re-setting my 30-minute WR) on February 6, 2010.  I then re-set my 1 minute, 3 minute, and 1 hr chin up world records.  In early March I became the 1st Woman to set an endurance 1-Arm Pushup World Record by completing 105 reps in 10-minutes. See here for Official Pullup/Chinup  and Pushup World Record Results.
One Arm Pushups

Cardiovascular Strength and Endurance:  During high school an easy day would be jump rope  running around the track 25 times for 10,000 meters. I would use a light weight speed jump rope.  The jump rope endurance training prepared me to set records and compete on the National level during high school in events from 800m -10,000m runs with U.S.A Track and Field.  I started in 7th grade and my best event was the 400m( I qualified for the 1996  Junior Olympic National Championship in that event) but didn’t compete as I focused on my distance running and became a National Champion in distance running.  Today, I started with the 400m jump rope track run and set a world record using a weighted 1.5lbs jump rope on February 21, 2010.  I then set 2 more jump rope world records with the weighted 1.5lbs jump rope in single-foot rope skipping for 30-seconds and 3-minutes.  Visit Alicia’s myspace to watch jump rope videos.

Flexibility and Abdominal Strength and Endurance:
On February 17, 2010, I completed 17 consecutive reps of Ring Dips in 1-minute to set a world record.  The ring dips were done in a difficult way to add the elements of both flexibility and abdominal strength and endurance in with the exercise. I kept my legs in L-Feat position with my legs perpendicular to my torso. *The hardest type of ring dips are where the legs are held straight out and parallel to the ground – those are officially called “Ring L Dips”.

Note:  I also set an abdominal endurance world record on September 26, 2009 where I did 613 situps (legs held down, hands behind ears, elbows must touch lateral knee each time for rep to count) in 30-minutes.

 Balance and Stability:
From March 6 – 9, 2010, I did a variety of strength/balance pushups for records on 2 and 3 med balls measuring 22 cm diameter.  I did 35 reps of pushups while balancing on 3 med balls for an official world record.  I then did 2 other types of balance/strength pushups that  observers described as “rare and difficult”. These 2 other pushups were completed on 2 and 3 med balls with an elevated leg.  Due to the specialization and rare nature of these 2 types of pushups, they were not officially published in the current record books.  However, they may be entered in a future record book.  Med ball balance exercises are very common to Olympic Kayakers.  As a K-1 sprint kayaker, I need to constantly challenge my balance in order to become a better and stronger kayaker, since the sport at the highest level is about being able to balance on such a skinny, tippy boat.  Here are highlights of the 2 types of rare and difficult medicine ball pushups.

My current records are 6 reps for a minute of 1 elevated leg 2 med ball pushups (22 cm diameter) and 25 reps for 1 minute of 1 elevated leg 3 med ball pushups.  My World Records are also listed online with World Record Holder’s Republic and the Book of Alternative Records.  I continue to chase new world records and re-set my own.

Outside of world record setting, I compete in 10-sports as an elite athlete and I am a fitness trainer. Some of my sports include sprint kayak, triathlon, trail and mountain distance running, track and field, rowing, road racing, time trial bike racing, open water swimming, and stand up paddle boarding.  I have published a book on physical fitness and it is available online here.
