On March 18, 2012, after a long day of working, Alicia’s endurance kicked in and out popped 3 new Record Setter Pull-Up World Records completed in just 22 minutes!  Alicia started her world record rampage at 5:28pm, where she broke the world record for the most consecutive half-rep towel pull-ups by competing 41 reps.  The former record of 29 was held by Derrick Clark  – a Record Setter Exercise Innovator that holds a variety of tough, but very creative exercise records.

Next, Alicia attacked a new type of pull up world record at 5:42pm a spin off on the last record only this time it is for most consecutive full-rep towel pull-ups and she completed 35 reps.

Finally, rolling out her final world record of the day at 5:49pm, Alicia broke the world record for most pushup/pullup combos in 1 minute by completing 14 combos.  The former record was 10 combos held by Record Setter’s 6th most prolific world record holder Alex Cunningham.

What is World Record for Most Consecutive Bar Dips?

By: Weber Way to Wellness Click here to visit JD Productions.

On February 21, 2008, Alicia Weber set the World Record for the Most Consecutive Bar Dips in 5 Minutes where she did 75 dips (published in Book of Alternative Records). This was Alicia’s first world record.

Alicia Weber who has set 100 world records in exercise events (# includes records where she re-set records in events upto 4 times) from Feb 21, 2008 – April 5, 2012, still considers her consecutive dip record as her toughest record. In this time frame, Alicia set world records in 65 different exercise categories.

Even with all the world records set and re-set, the 5 Minute Consecutive Bar Dip still stands as her toughest record as it tests speed, strength, and endurance on a very small muscle group (triceps: medial head of tricep, lateral head, and long head of the tricep). Proper form for a dip: must use only steel bars. Arms must break 90 degrees and return to full extension for a rep. Body must remain vertical and free hanging the entire time. Now, on April 4th, 2012, Alicia finally broke her 1st world record by completing 85 consecutive dips in 5 mins!

Watch Alicia re-set World Record for 5 minutes of consecutive bar dips by doing 85 on April 4, 2012

Now, Alicia set the world record for the one minute event just minutes later. This record isn’t nearly as tough, but it does test all out speed.

SO, Alicia Weber is the one that holds the official world records for consecutive bar dips. Alicia also keeps re-setting these records, so to stay up with her latest RecordSetter World Record result click the links above for up-to-date result.

A Jack LaLanne Mini Challenge

By Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

The Godfather of Fitness, Jack Lalanne at the age of 45 completed 1,000 pushups and 1,000 chinups for the fastest time in 82 minutes. This feat was accomplished in 1959 where his show The Jack Lalanne Show went nationwide.

Alicia Weber, a multiple pull-up, chin-up, and pushup world record holder considers this feat as her favorite feat that Jack Lalanne performed. According to Wiki, Jack considered this to be his most difficult stunt only because the skin on his hands started ripping off during the chin ups.

Alicia Weber has been building up to the 1000/1000 and found the same difficulty that Jack had with the skin ripping off during the chin ups.

Alicia has been working on the 500 chin up and 500 pushup (Jack Lalanne Mini Challenge). She first performed it on Jan 31, 2012, in 54:14, and sixty days later she knocked ~ 5 minutes off her time to set an official world record in 49:40 on Record Setter for Fastest Time to Complete 500 Chin ups and 500 Pushups.

Squats Exercise and World Records with RecordSetter

By: Alicia Weber Click here to visit JD Productions.

I believe squats are the best overall leg strength building exercise for the legs. There are many types of squats, but today I briefly discuss balance squats and deep squats. Reap the rewards from squatting and one can get strength gains that correlate to better running, bicycling, and even stand up paddle boarding.

On March 29, 2012, I set the world record (for the 3rd time) for Most Deep Squats in 3 Minutes when I did 167 deep squats in three minutes. The magic “three minutes” I do because that isn’t too long and not too short to hold at a very high aerobic threshold and still test my endurance (It’s like the 800m run, which is in between a sprint and middle distance event). Deep squat training is responsible for increasing my power on my bike and it gave me the edge to be only triathlete that kept increasing speed over duration of challenging bike leg in my 2008 ITU Sprint U-30 National Championship Triathlon. Deep squats also help my endurance to compete in mountain running championships.

Just minutes after re-setting the deep squat world record on March 29, 2012, I then set the world record for the Most Swiss Ball Squats in One Minute, which are very difficult as they test balance. These are a relatively new exercise for me as I did my 1st try at swiss ball squats on Jan 15, 2011, and I was certainly NOT doing them in my usual strict form as you will see HERE. However, through perserverance I mastered the swiss ball! Swiss Ball Squatting has helped me become better at Stand Up Paddle Boarding where balance is key.

One Arm Endurance Exercises

By: Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Click here to visit JD Productions.

When most people hear “one arm exercise” the first things that come to mind are usually one arm pushups or one arm chinups/pullups. Well, did you know there is an one-arm plank and one-armed leaping mountain climber? These are extreme endurance exercises that test and strengthen abdominals and hip flexor muscle groups, but also work the neuromuscular system and with the one-armed leaping mountain climber one also tests plyometrics, leg strengthening, and bone building! Quite a lot packed into two unique one arm exercises!!

Alicia Weber holds world records in both of these exercises: The Ultimate Isometric One Arm Plank on Concrete with Feet Held Less Than 2 Feet Apart AND Most One-Armed Leaping Mountain Climbers in 5 Minutes.

Now, I ask Alicia which of these records stand out for her as being the most difficult. Alicia replies, “Each one has its own unique element of difficulty.  They have their own kind of mental and physical toughness.  It is hard to say which is the most difficult.  They were all very difficult as they were the first times I set all these records in these categories.”

Alicia Weber Reveals The Best Anti-Inflammatory Foods

By:  Alicia Weber

A plant-based diet is your winning way to wellness!  Human blood is alkaline with a 7.2 pH.  When it comes to your blood and food consumption, one thing is true and that is two of a feather flock together!  Just as your blood has alkaline pH your body wants an alkaline pH in the food it consumes!

More Alkaline = Less Inflammation (foods that are alkaline and fight inflammation are fruits, vegetables, and fish)

More Acid = More Inflammation (foods working against blood pH are anything you eat with a face except fish because of the omega 3 fatty acid)

ALL fruits and vegetables are anti-inflammatories.  Some are considered more potent than others though.  Vitamins and minerals are important to fight inflammation as the one I highly recommend that is an excellent anti-inflammatory as well as an anti-aging supplement is Triveratrol Plus containing ResVinol-25 (60 Softgels).  This is a top supplement from a top-notch doctor – Dr. Whitaker. The reason this supplement is a very potent anti-inflammatory is due to its 3 Key Ingredients:

1.  Tumeric (known for anti-inflammatory qualities)

2.  Aloe Vera (plant known as fountain of youth for healing qualities)

3.  Resveratrol (dosage in vitamin equivalent to 170 glasses of red wine!)

Additionally, Herbasway HerbaGreen Tea Original Flavor 2 oz is a terrific anti-inflammatory, which I take every night before bed as it also helps prevent cavities and strengthen teeth.

Of all the plant-based foods, the Indian Goose Berry takes the 1st place prize in being the most potent!  As it exceeds the anti-inflammatory potency of the 2nd and 3rd place blueberries and pomegranates for anti-inflammatory benefits.  However, no need to focus on the 3 in the winner’s circle as the goal should be to eat a wide variety of colorful fruits and vegetables everyday for your anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory responses to be in top form and out do the inflammation and aging process!

*On a side note: If you are not eating a lot of meats (i.e. red meats as they have the essential vitamin B 12), then you need a vitamin with B 12.  Vitamin B 12 is essential in red blood cell production and must be part of the diet and if not getting it in a food source, then vitamin is neccessary. I stay stocked up with Emergen-C Vitamin C Fizzy Drink Mix, 1000 mg, Tropical, 0.3-Ounce Packets (Pack of 30) and I take one packet a day for my vitamin C and B vitamins.

Muscle Woman Breaks 3 Men’s Fitness World Records on Aerobic Capacity Wellness Day

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter

Click here to visit JD Productions.

CLERMONT, FL (Feb 21, 2012)—Alicia Weber set aside Feb 21 during National Heart Health Month for Aerobic Capacity Wellness Day where she attacked 3 men’s world records and the result:  3 New world records in Record Setter World Record Book.  The 3 records tested peak speed and they were all very different, but aerobic capacity wellness can be discussed with all of them.  Aerobic Capacity Wellness is a person’s peak capability for delivering oxygen to muscles and the amount of oxygen and speed of delivery determines how fast someone can exercise.  We will look at the element of aerobic capacity wellness in Alicia’s 3 new world records and compare peak speed and max heart rate achieved for these exercise world records.

First, testing peak speed, Alicia set the world record for Most Situps in One Minute.  Now, aerobic capacity refers to “with oxygen” and exercises with deep breathing and Alicia showed that not too much deep breathing was needed to set this world record as her heart rate only reached 120 bpm for the 55 situps in a minute.  Situps work smaller muscles and in particular back extensor muscle strength is mandatory more so than strong abs. If back extensor strength is weak, one can risk injury.  Hip flexors are invloved with situps as well as rectus abdominus m..  Due to smaller muscles working, even though peak speed was achieved, heart rate remains on the lower spectrum of aerobic capacity wellness.

World Record # 1 – Alicia 55 Situps a Minute

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgVEDq5ULfc

Second, Alicia set a world record for Most Consecutive One-Legged Jump Rope Jumps in 30 Seconds where Alicia once again reached peak speed with 85 one leg jumps.  Now, even though this exercise was only 30 seconds in length, Alicia’s heart rate reached 150 bpm.  One legged jump rope jumping is more aerobic, works larger muscles, requires coordination and balance, and therefore the heart rate will go UP.  This exercise is rated on the higher end of the aerobic capacity wellness spectrum.

World Record # 2 – Alicia 85 one-legged jumps jump rope 30 seconds

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS8cuPpln4Q

Third, Alicia set the world record for the Most Consecutive Clapping Pushups with Feet Off the Ground as she completed 54 reps in 50 seconds.  In this exercise, Alicia once again reached peak speed with the highest heart rate achieved for the day for an exercise at 170 bpm.  This exercise is the most aerobic and is rated on the highest end of the spectrum for aerobic capacity wellness.  These plyometric pushups produce fast, rapid, and powerful movements that ignite the cardiovascular and nervous systems.  This exercise has the most going on and has the highest force of muscular contractions due to rapid loading and contractions of muscles from the plyometric nature.

World Record # 3 – Alicia 54 Plyometric Clapping Pushups

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biK_S5N9IpM

We can now see the different exercises at peak speed and their aerobic capacity elements, but one must remember the REAL test in aerobic capacity is holding peak speed for a LONG Duration. Having a maximum effort expended for a duration as long as you can go at peak capability and executing  multi-dimensional exercises (plyometrics, large and small muscles group aerobics, aerobic strength, and neuromuscular movements) is the REAL test for high-end aerobic capacity wellness.  This is why Alicia’s “400 Rep Aerobic Capacity Wellness Challenge” world record set on Feb 19, 2012, would be on the highest end of the aerobic capacity wellness spectrum as Alicia had a heart rate of 180 bpm and higher and held it for 23 minutes and 57 seconds.

***Dr. Kenneth Cooper, M.D. made the term “aerobics” famous with his ground breaking book Aerobics published in 1968 and his testing of aerobic capacity wellness.  Dr. Cooper invented the 12 minute run and 1.5 mile run tests for aerobic capacity and he has been a life long advocate on aerobics. Regular weekly aerobics has been proven to increase life span and reduce risk of disease.

Alicia Weber’s Aerobic Capacity Wellness World Record for National Heart Health Month!

By:  Weber Way to Wellness Reporter Click here to visit JD Productions.

CLERMONT, FL (Feb 19, 2012)—February is National Heart Health Month and Fitness Expert Alicia Weber is celebrating by establishing and setting a new aerobic capacity wellness benchmark.

Aerobic Capacity Wellness is the direct measurement of one’s cardiovascular fitness.  It’s not just about getting to peak speed, but how long one can hold a peak speed.  Aerobic means “with oxygen” and an individual’s peak capability for delivering oxygen to muscles.  Most people think of aerobics as running, walking, biking, or taking the 1.5 mile run test.  Alicia thinks beyond this picture though.

Alicia studied 30 fitness clients and researched and tested them in hundreds of conditioning exercises over the course of 6-months in 2011 to find the most effective and results-driven exercises for overall physical fitness gains.  Not only did Alicia see results with these exercises, but so did clients as clients in a 6 week period increased arm strength by an average 40 %  and by an average 33% they increased leg strength. Alicia now takes the 4 top conditioning exercises that showed to be the best for overall physical fitness gains and attacks these exercises one after the other in an ALL OUT aerobic capacity wellness challenge, which she calls “400 Rep Aerobic Capacity Wellness Challenge.”  Alicia sets the world record for the fastest to complete this challenge!

Alicia Weber demonstrates Aerobic Capacity Wellness as she holds her heart rate at 95% of her max heart rate for over 20 minutes and performs these multi-dimensional exercises that incorporate the 5 areas of fitness and test aerobic capacity wellness.  Alicia has a very high Vo2max of 67.05 ml/kg/min achieved during her 1.5 mile run test and even in that test her heart rate did not peak as high and as long as it does in this challenge – Just to say how challenging this challenge really is with these 4 exercises!
