On April 28th, 2012, Alicia’s Fitness Trainees took first place for setting the most impressive records, and Alicia Weber took 2nd place.
Alicia said, “The April 28th event was momentum for us as we went into May as the competition became stiffer and we were competing among 360 records for top honors.”
The Record of the Month contest operates similar to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as Judges vote and so do viewers for the most impressive records.
Alicia added, “You need to think about creativity, level of difficulty, and viewer interest when setting records to stay on top, which also includes re-setting your own popular records.”
Cherie, Alicia’s Fitness Trainee, set a popular leg endurance record for over 80 year olds on World Record Day and then came back to re-set it 2 and half weeks later! Cherie said, ” I want to inspire people and let them know that they don’t need to let age or a health condition get in the way! Just try!”
Alicia said, “Cherie does more than try and she has the winning mindset. The record she set may look easy, but it is quite difficult and a lot of young fit people can’t even go for a minute in this exercise let alone nearly 2 minutes, like what Cherie did!”
The Hammer Head set a unique neck strength record that created a lot of rumpus that landed him in the top 10 for most impressive records set for May and he had the 3rd most talked about record out of all records set in this time period!!
Alicia said, “Exercise is about innovation. If someone thinks exercise is confined to certain weights in a gym or movements, then they will have a lot to learn (especially if they train under my tutelage). Hammer Head demonstrated exercise innovation in his neck strength world records, which are exercises he created that have helped him avoid neck injuries through the years of his contact sports.”
Alicia’s Fitness Trainee’s took 1st place out of 130 world records set on April 28th and 3rd place out of 360 world records set in the May Record Challenge which ended on May 31st. Roxann was the third trainee that helped keep the group performing on top! Roxann set 2 world records in track running for women over age 70 within 15 months after a total hip replacement.
Alicia said, “Roxann’s determination keeps her going. She has the right attitude to execute and keep lowering her marks.”
Alicia Weber was voted # 1 Most Impressive Record Setter during the May Record of the Month Challenge. In addition, Alicia earned 4 records in the Top 10 Most Impressive Records for May. Alicia set a total of 26 strength and endurance world records in May, which that alone is a record! However, two of her 26 records made the top 10 list of most talked about records and most impressive records and those are shown here:
Alicia won 4th place overall out of 360 world records for most impressive set by an individual record setter – Most Egg on Spoon in Mouth Conescutive Pull-Ups in One Minute
This record was first set on World Record Day and was Most Popular Record for that event and featured record on May 1-3 and then Alicia re-set it 2 and half weeks later and it once again topped the charts! – Fastest 400m Medley

Multiple Exercise World Record Holder – Alicia Weber set the personal goal of setting more exercise records in ONE Month than she ever set in an entire year! She would have to set more than 24 records to achieve this goal.
On top of this goal, Alicia set other standards on herself to make this a bigger obstacle…she had to win at least one running race, work and train everyday (no rest days), win at least one Record of the Day title, and she would have to attempt to re-set her toughest records yet (find out what they are below).
Do you think Alicia (nicknamed “The Machine”) reached her goal AND met the standards she set on herself?
YES, The Results: 35 achievements in ONE month (26 exercise records set, one running race won, and 8 Record of The Days earned!!)
Alicia says, “I got my toughest strength test out of the way first when I re-set my World Record on May 3, 2012, with 91 consecutive bar dips in 5 minutes where arms break 90 degrees (previously set in April with 85). I then re-set my toughest endurance record near the end of the month when I knew I would be pretty fatigued from everything – I knocked 1 minute off my record time for fastest time to complete 500 chinups/500 pushups. Additionally several records that I set for the first time in April, I made myself get the energy to re-set in less than a month later!”
“Hammer Head”, Alicia’s fitness trainee, comments on Alicia’s efforts and says, “A true test in a real, serious athlete is if they are able to negative split. Alicia meets that test.”
Alicia exclaims, “Yes, I want to feel like a machine and I am in better shape now than ever. Back in college running for JJ Clark, a goal was to work on negative splits and that was something I had to work on then, but now it comes more naturally through all the years of practice.”
A Big Fan adds, “Alicia sets records but also has records AT setting records!”
I ask Alicia if she is tired yet?! Alicia says,”Honestly, I thought I would be, but I am really not too tired, but I am making my body rest a little as I know it needs rest. This is my 134th world record in physical fitness and personally, it is my favorite so far as it is an exciting all around test for me in stamina!”

April 12 -22, 2012 — Strongwoman Alicia Weber is back again to raise her benchmarks in 2 short duration events AND MORE! On April 12, 2012, Alicia Weber took back her world record in 1 minute of situps. She now raised the benchmark to 59 situps in one minute for her 101st world record! Alicia exclaimed, “I am into longer duration situps, but if I know I can beat a record that I see, I will go for it!” Alicia did just that when she beat the previous record of 58 a minute set by England’s Guy King.

Next, Alicia has been dueling French Plyometic Exercise Star Guillaume Bourgeois (since, Feb 2012) in several plyometric exercises, but one stands out in the exciting duel between these two determined record breakers – Most Consecutive Clapping Pushups with Feet off the Ground. They each had gone back and forth with this highly aerobic strength testing exercise. Guillaume held the world record for 49 days at the mark of 61. Then, on April 17, 2012, Alicia re-claimed the record with a new mark of 65. Alicia exclaimed, “I got sick on Monday and had to rest. My muscles were anxious for an all out effort on Tuesday and the result – another record! I am very happy!”

On Wedsnesday, Alicia had planned to kick off her cross country season despite still being sick. Alicia exclaimed, “It was set in my mind and I had been looking forward to this day. I recalled when I ran with bronchitis and set a youth record in a 10k in 37:34 in 1995, which was 6th largest road race in US and I knew I could pull this off. I had trouble breathing from congestion and a sore/dry throat, but this was nothing compared to when I ran with bronchitis. I was planning on a casual effort in any case and just get a feel for the new course.” Alicia set the overall record in 2011 for the NTC 2.8 mile course. In 2012, the race is on a new course measuring 2.5 miles and is known as the NTC Ultimate Series for Cross Country. Alicia was happy with her showing in the elite field of current and former pro triathletes. She finished 6th overall out of men and women and was the 2nd woman finisher.

Finally ending her sickness on April 22, Alicia competed in her first ever WPA Series Stand Up Paddle Board event. Alicia exclaimed, “I was so excited to get out there with top competition and just get this experience under my belt. I asked for a challenge and I got it – the 3 mile race started in torrential downpour. Then it passed, but we had to fight wicked cross winds and currents. The winds were gusting upto 19 mph! My adrenaline was pumping and I had to dig deep on my hefty 10 ‘6″ stockboard.” Alicia completed the 3 mile course at Spa Beach in St. Petersburg, FL, in 56:48 for a 30th overall finish out of men and women, which includes both stockboard and racerboard categories combined. Two Bicep Flexing Paddle Board Addicts!

COCOA BEACH, FL—Nov. 19, 2011 The inaugural Beach Running World Championships kicked off for the first time in 2011!  Cocoa Beach has been named  for the Beach Running World Championships and will host the annual event.  The world championships have two championship races that are run on the beautiful Cocoa Beach – the 10k and half-marathon.   Alicia Weber competed in the 10k beach run and won the World Championship!
Alicia Weber’s World Championship Win and Interview
Alicia Weber was a 10, 000 meter track runner who was an All American, while still in high school.  She was 3rd in the nation, while in high school and was hoping to go to the World Championships in the 10k, but that was not an event offered for juniors (runners under age 20) in the world championships with USA Track and Field.  Thirteen years later, Alicia’s dream to become the 10K World Champion has come true!  Alicia was a track and field runner for 12 years and then turned to other types of challenging running events.  Alicia now prefers off terrain to any other type of running.  Alicia loves the challenge and toughness with running on the beach and  is thrilled to be the 10k World Champion in this inaugural world championship event!

I kicked off my competitive season on Feb 6, 2011, at the 2011 Southern Sprints Indoor Rowing Championship in Melbourne, Florida. I shaved a second off my time in the 500m dash and took 4th place in a close race. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place were all within points of a second from each other, while the winner was 3 seconds ahead.

Next up, I visited what is to be for years to come the World Class Rowing Center in Sarasota, Florida, at Nathan Benderson Park. This is a fabulous flat water 2,000m outdoor rowing course surrounded by a 5 mile trail. I cycled along the trail as I videoed the lake and flexed my bicep (as I held the camera in the other hand).Â
Watch Alicia Weber bicep flexing and showing the rowing center, while cycling (and holding the camera in the other hand).

“I honestly can’t imagine life without Alicia. I look forward to seeing her weekly. I have so many things I still want to learn & accomplish, but I have many goals that I’ve already conquered thanks to World Record Weber pushing me every step of the way! Alicia’s “Your Winning Way to Physical Fitness” book helps hold myself accountable and I can easily track progress. It is a terrific complement to her training program.”
-Jenni, Runner-up in Alicia’s 2009 Fitness Challenge and 3rd place in 2010 “Lungfish Challenge”
“WORLD RECORD WEBER’S book, Your Winning Way to Physical Fitness, is unlike anything I have ever seen! Alicia describes the 5 areas of physical fitness, shows how to do the exercises properly, and explains the tests that measure your level of fitness. She even provides a 52-week log section to record your results. FABULOUS! Since I am prone to back aches, I learned which exercises I should do.” – Claudia, Senior Citizen trying to stay fit!
“While many forms of exercise are all good (biking, hiking, swimming, running) they are based on repetitive movement. Numerous muscles are used very little or not at all. Alicia’s book has a program that will indentify under-used muscles and muscle tightness (decreased flexibility). This program increases flexibility and muscle balance, which is a well-known injury preventer.” – James, long distance hiker (had partial tear in quadricep, now healed)
“With Your Winning Way to Physical Fitness, Alicia instills the power of commitment when you make a pledge for a ‘new you’ . Having this book by my side, I know what stretches to do when I get stiff and how to prevent injuries. I know my progress as I fill out the 52-week training log. I learn how much water I should be drinking during exercise and throughout the day. I learn key healing foods and most of all, I learned things I never knew before. This is a book I keep re-reading and I can certainly say it has helped take me to another new level in athletics!  Your Winning Way to Physical Fitness is a REAL WINNER!” -Chris, Recreational Athlete turned Elite Athlete
